Is it HOT in here, or is it just us?

Our WFL Community Bulletin Board Fundraising thermometer shows an incredible 350,000 degrees Our capital goal has been met! Together, we found a way to revitalize our little gem of a library. Thanks to significant help from The Champlin Foundations, we plan on a March groundbreaking. Our heartfelt thanks go to ALL of our generous supporters for making this dream a reality.

Can It Get Even Hotter in Here? We know that supporting a library does not end with renovation. With your support we can take a longer view, and set our sights higher. For example, with your help, we can now consider:

• Furnishing the library with adaptable, state-of-the-art information technology, beyond that which is called for in the capital plan, for example, a permanently installed projection system for movie nights and a computer workstation dedicated to downloading e-books and audiobooks;
• Using the momentum from our Capital Drive to...fortify our endowment, to protect ourselves against the uncertainties of public funding.

WFL's all-volunteer Board of Trustees believes that library supporters feel just as strongly about sustaining the Willett as we do about renovating it, so we turn to our patrons and supporters with this idea:

Help us Stoke the WFL Fire. We will award Platinum Patronage to contributions received between now and the commencement of our regular Annual Fund and Membership cycle [July 1-June 30]. Gifts to the library during this time will be proof that we have what it takes to make it hot and keep it hot. We believe this will ensure a white hot future for Willett Free Library for many, many years to come. (It will also show the warm feelings we have for this place.)

One important lesson from fundraising: forming a plan to improve an already strong institution brings out the BEST in a community. We are deeply grateful to every contributor who has made this project possible, and extend our heartfelt encouragement to those who have yet to support us.
