Renovation News

The Willett Free Library CLOSED for renovation, Saturday, April 14, 2012, and will continue to be closed until the grand re-opening, which we expect will take place in early September. We ask that you hold on to any items owned by the WFL that you have checked out until the re-opening. Items you have checked out owned by another Ocean State Libraries member library need to be returned to another OSL location during the time that the WFL is closed.

Capital Campaign News

The Willett Free Library is still raising money for the renovation/expansion that has begun. The purpose of the project is to make the existing building accessible and to provide space for neighborhood events of "mutual improvement." Download an order form for an engraved brick to be installed in the library's front yard on Ferry Road. More news about the Capital Campaign here.

    Library Flag:

Our flag depicts a sailing ferry built by Stillman Saunders. At his home, a "Circle for Mutual Improvement" was formed in 1885; the beginnings of this library. When the flag is flying, the WFL is open.
